Louise O'Neill

Commercial Manager

Louise is a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, having worked across a wide range of projects in utilities, healthcare, education and commercial new build and fit-out. Louise’s reputation for being an excellent communicator and negotiator with an open and honest approach sets her apart in terms of her client-centric approach.

After graduating in 2012 with a First-Class BSc (Hons) Degree in Quantity Surveying, Louise she spent 9 years in various QS roles in Private Consultancy, Main Contracting, Sub-Contracting and Utilities where she acquired a wealth of invaluable Industry experience, with commercial management responsibility for projects ranging from £200k – £200M in the healthcare, education and commercial office sectors. Louise joined Glasgow Caledonian University in 2021as a Lecturer in Quantity Surveying, quickly being promoted to Programme Leader for the Graduate Apprenticeship Programme whilst undertaking International Duties, all of which led to her receiving multiple awards.

Louise returned to the Construction Industry in 2024, responsible for the commercial management of EC Specialist Contractors, working closely with the Directors to define sales and margin targets whilst ensuring compliance with all commercial processes and procedures. Louise also ensures that contracts are commercially managed and administered at the highest level whilst maintaining clear communication with both Clients and wider Project Teams, working proactively to always find the best solutions, strengthened by her keen interest in the development of new technologies to streamline construction processes and improve the quality of output from project teams.

Louise enjoys studying topics relating to construction law and contracts and has a personal focus on sustainability and the restoration/preservation of historical buildings. Louise was commercially responsible for the construction of the first WELL standard building in Scotland.
