PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project involved refurbishing and forming new offices for the Scottish Parliament withing Bridgeside House Edinburgh, to form a new Commissioners Office and meeting room facility.
The works comprised internal alterations to the existing office layout on two floors including new plasterboard partitions, new glazed screens and door sets, alternations to existing M&E services, decoration, new floor finishes, signage and DDA alterations to the reception desk.
The rest of the building remained fully operational throughout the duration, requiring careful planning and coordination of our activities to ensure there was no disruption to the day-to-day activities of the building users.
KEY CHALLENGES
Works within a Live Government Building, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all building users remained paramount at all times.
Limited access and surrounding area restrictions required well planned and detailed delivery schedules and operations.
Managing project variations with a short duration on site.
