Excavations of the ground to form new sub structure, pour new foundations, install steel columns, timber kit and roof trusses, roof sheeting, Velux windows, larch cladding to perimeter external walls, fire rated plywood to the finish walls in main hall, plasterboard finish in toilets/ kitchen.
AC heating installed, fully functioning kitchen, toilets and disabled toilets
KEY CHALLENGES
The ground was of poor quality, and we had to dig deeper at places we were down 3.5m this was a concern as this was making the trench fill a lot more than what was envisioned in the cost document.
ADDED VALUE
Client decided to install an acoustic straw board (Troldtekt).
This was a first for us.
We also installed lambswool insulation to help the environment.
Most doors are of Maple finish.
Main hall has fire rated plywood then plywood strips to the upper levels.
