PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The formation of a quiet/privacy room within the existing office workspace.
Installation of a stud partition to form the new room incorporating a new timber glazed door to provide the required acoustic performance along with min or M&E system adjustments to suit the new configuration, decoration and floor finishes.
KEY CHALLENGES
The logistics of delivering a small project within the city centre with delivery/access restrictions on North St David Street. Overcome by carefully planned and co-ordinated delivery/access and egress movements.
All works to be undertaken and completed within 1 week in the live office environment where the clients ongoing daily business functions required to be maintained without disruption.
ADDED VALUE
The client had a very tight deadline to have the works completed and a limited budget. Having been brought in late in the process by Surveying Solutions, EC assist by offering suitable door details which were available in the required period and within the clients budget.
Careful planning and very controlled delivery of the works with regards to protection of existing finishing, dust and noise protection and site cleanliness resulted in a client who was very satisfied with both the quality and performance of the new Privacy Room along with the professional delivery of the works with no disruption to staff or business.
