PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Works consisted of refurbishment of boys, girls and accessible toilets as well as minor works in other areas of the school.
Full strip out of boys and girls WC blocks, reinstated with full new M&E and Hvac systems, new cubicles, hygienic wall linings and wash hand troughs as well as anti-slip floor coverings.
Structural works to form new accessible WC and school office, fit out of AWC and associated external underground drainage.
New underground drainage and civil works to repair/replace dilapidated Victorian drainage in places.
Minor works to classrooms including new floor coverings, sinks and decoration.
KEY CHALLENGES
Although much of the works were planned for and carried out during the school holidays, due to the discovery of dilapidated historical drainage, further additional works were required, this increased the programme duration into school term time, working in a live environment with approx. 500 school children has challenges.
