PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The refurbishment of existing offices at 17-25 Leith Street including: removal and making good of existing partition walls; provision of tea making point and kitchen including new air extraction; refurbishment of existing ground floor toilet/shower room; renewal of sanitaryware in basement toilets; decoration; renewal of floor coverings; upgrade of lighting; reconfiguration of small power; alterations to existing heating and ventilation systems; access control to fire door and application of safety film to windows.
KEY CHALLENGES
Working within a confined space with no space for skips etc.
Manage rubbish removal
Co-ordination of deliveries on a just in time basis
Carrying out the works as the same time as the Edinburgh Festival in a city centre location
Working Closely with the design team to keep costs within budget
