PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Refurbishment of an existing Industrial Unit to make it ready for the next tenant to take it over.
The project was to take an existing unit back to a condition that the next user can take it over with new wall and floor decoration, upgraded services and installation of a new disabled Toilet. A new roof was installed removing the old asbestos sheeting, removed all internal partitions, M&E fittings and taking the Unit back to a bare shell.
KEY CHALLENGES
Works were between 2 live industrial units with limited space for storage in a very busy industrial estate with deliveries and uplifts. Access and egress is a one-way system for all traffic and pedestrians. Deliveries had to be managed in a controlled manner with the other building users. No issues and good communication was the key.
ADDED VALUE
Due to our extensive experience of working in and around live environments, we were able to get through the project with no complaints from neighbours and managed to complete the project 1 week earlier than programmed. Clean fresh new internal and external finishing, with an up to date toilet to DDA standards new electrics and fire alarm system for new client ready to move in.
