Fitout of Teaching Spaces throughout the<br \/>University Campus.<\/p><p>The Works comprised of the refurbishment of a selection of\u00a0teaching rooms throughout the academic buildings on the Edinburgh Campus and\u00a0will include (but not be limited to) new acoustic suspended ceiling systems,\u00a0renewal of floor coverings, redecoration, installation of DALI compatible\u00a0lighting and lighting control, and additional provision of power and data to\u00a0primarily serve improved AV installations which will be carried out separately\u00a0by the University.\u00a0<\/p><p><b>KEY CHALLENGES<\/b><\/p><p>Managing to complete the first\u00a0batch of rooms after a small lead in period over the summer of 2024.<\/p><p>Co-ordination in a Live\u00a0Environment.<\/p><p>Material Procurement due to short\u00a0lead in period.<\/p><p>Developing the Scope of Works as\u00a0the project progressed to keep in line with the budget.<\/p><p><b>ADDED VALUE<\/b><\/p><p>Experience in working in Live\u00a0Environments assisted this project massively.<\/p><p>Knowledge of the Campus and\u00a0strong relationships with incumbent contractors.<\/p><p>Worked extensively with HWU and\u00a0Surveying Solutions to provide cost effective solutions to problems and issues\u00a0throughout the project.
