PROJECT DESCRIPTION<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

The conversion of the P1\/P2 boys toilet into two nappy change units, including kitchen and washing facilities, and the P1\/P2 girls toilet into a gender neutral toilet, at Gylemuir Primary School in Edinburgh.\u00a0<\/p>

The scope of works included:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

Stripping out and disposal of old toilet cubicles & Vanity units and associated WC fixtures and fitments.<\/p>

\u00bb Removal of all existing sanitaryware.
\u00bb Removal of Floor Coverings.
\u00bb Removal and radiators.
\u00bb New suspended ceilings.
\u00bb New full height cubicles toilet cubicles and IPS systems.
\u00bb Hygenic wall panelling
\u00bb Kitchen Cabinets
\u00bb M&E Service Installations
\u00bb New LED lighting and power socket.
\u00bb New radiators & heating.
\u00bb New trough sinks.
\u00bb Extract ventilation.
\u00bb External water taps.
\u00bb Complete new sanitaryware and baby change units.
\u00bb New pass doors throughout.
\u00bb Vinyl Floor coverings.
\u00bb Decoration.<\/p>

KEY\u00a0CHALLENGES<\/span><\/b><\/p>

It was essential that we completed the works over 3 weeks to coincide with the Easter school holiday to minimise disruption and safeguard PVG.<\/p>

ADDED\u00a0VALUE<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Regular efficient communication and cooperation with the school staff ensured we met the strict deadline with the facilities fully operational, signed-off, and sparkle cleaned with no defects or snags when the pupils returned for the new school term, with no further inconvenience or disruption to the normal school day.<\/p>
